Music not showing up on my Ipod under the artists' name, but shows up under songs... what's up with that?

So i have the newest Ipod with Video capability... and when i look for music under "Mana" (the artist) only one song shows up but when i go looking for the songs under Songs, then the songs are there. I made sure the artist's name is correctly spelled, i even typed it in so they are all the same... but still the music is missing! What software do you recommend that's compatible with the Ipod so i can arrange my music and synch it to the ipod... it just seems Itunes has too many glitches... there's nothing more annoying than missing music. Or what else do you suggest i do to fix this missing music problem?

Make sure that the artist name is listed in the artist column in your itunes if it is not this will cause the problem that you are experiencing. Sometimes when songs are downloaded the artist name is in the song title or album title
Reply:I had this problem, but it was mainly for compilations. What worked for me was to just select all the music on my ipod then right click - get info, then select no for compilations and apply it to all songs. Seemed to work. Report It

Reply:it seems that you've got the songs arranged in Song titles. Find the column that says Artists, and click it. All the songs should arrange in order for each artist.
