You could tell 70s music from 80s music from 90s music. Nothing new represents single digit's music?

Every decade music has had a certain style, I mean you can tell what is 60s music, what is 70s music, what is 80s music, and then 90s brought out a new style but we're still pretty much using the same style of music as the late 90s. We have not come out with music that will represent this decade. It is sad? I mean if you heard a 90s-styled song, could u honestly tell the difference from Single digits-styled song? Single digits-styled song is basically the same as the 90s

It's always difficult to see the decade you're in. You usually have to be 5 - 10 years out of it before you can separate it from the one before.
Reply:Well, hippies carried over from the 60s, so it probably wasn't that easy to tell 70s hippy from 60s hippy while in the 70s. I think the same goes for punk, grunge, and now dance music. I remember in the 90s also thinking how bland the music was. Now its pretty cool. Report It

Reply:Pop Idol and X-Factor have murdered most innovation. All the other bands seem to be bland clones of each other. Thank you NME.
