Help please! :)
Music to figure skate to?
This may sound a bit odd, but there is a music textbook called "Listen" that comes with a set of six CDs, one of which is bound to have something interesting to skate to. I think the CD set is available separately, too. There's a lot of really great, different music found on it.
There's this really great Gregorian chant inspired version of the "Cantigas de Santa Maria" that uses lots of violins and a Turkish instrument whose name escapes me. It's absolutely amazing and would be perfect to skate to.
Reply:Try the soundtrack to the 1960s Greek/English film Zorba. Some great music there and surprisingly familiar sounding. Would be fabulous to dance to.
Reply:"I'm the Man" by Anthrax. You will be cutting edge!!!

Reply:The music form the movie Schindler's List is really pretty...there's some nice violin stuff in it

Reply:unforetunately I don't know a lot of music names, but I do watch a lot of figure skating on TV.
And what I have noticed is that complicated, music, slow classical music etc bores the audience. The audience responds to music they can clap to...it makes them happy, and that makes the judges happy
Try Hava Negila (I don;'t think it is spelled right) but it is a russian or jewish song, Really up beat. For Slow, Try theme from Exodus.
There are thousand of tunes like that. Alway choose what will get the audience involved
Reply:Master of Puppets by Metallica would fit into what you're looking for

Reply:Right now I am listening to Storm by Vanessa Mae. She is a violinist and it is a powerful song. You can watch the video on YouTube.
