I mean any music ... every one has his own taste of music... music to ones ears may be noise to the others... whateva your taste you answer this question.. music can be anything...It can also be the " music of nature"...
The beats of the sky...
The sounds of joy...
The falling drops from up above...
The wave that holds you with all its love..
music that makes you " feel miles away from your heart".... ha ha ... ya thatz what music means to me... "divine" would have been my answer in a word....
so tell me what does music mean to your life ??
vivek alva
What does music mean to you??
music is far above from just the sound for my ears,
it's a beauty even to a def man, it can never disappear.
however far i am ,with the music ,I'm again right here.
I'm feeling it on the skin , it can caress my neck ,my cheek,
if i don't hear the music ,my day will be long as a weak.
it can shake me ,it can break me ,
it can provoke me and awake me.
music can do much more,
in that I'm very sure.
it can turn me at last,
to be emotional, happy ,to be the best !!!!
Reply:Its a bit complicated but I'll try. I play music (on my flute) all the time to practice because well I have to. But when I'm just feeling plain crappy I sit down in a room and just randomly play something. After a while everything seems better, music is something that I can always understand when nothing else makes sense.
Reply:Music is my life. Singing dancing kirtan and bhajana(spiritual music) Krishna Consciousness is all about music. It is said in the Vedas that in the eternal world every step is a dance and every word is a song. I like all flavors of spiritual music. a wonderful site http://www.krishna.com/taxonomy/term/12 then click on listen then click on any kirtan or bhajana in blue. this is mostly traditional Indian bhajans and kirtans but I also like western style of all kinds reggae, world beat, almost all.also desiretree.com on my profile is a link to the mantra I chant and sing most. I sing it in all tunes and all styles of music. We always have music going in our home with this Maha Mantra (the great mantra for deliverance from all suffering and illusion) I love this music.

Reply:In the instruction that I provide on religious practice including meditation and spiritual exercises, I teach that music is the example of harmonious vibrational frequency that is the underpinning of proper meditation practice. Harmonizing and constantly fine tuning our mental vibration frequency to be in tune with the vibration of God is the key to knowing and communicating with God. Moreover, harmonizing our mental vibrational frequency creates profound changes in us and destroys the veils that prevent us from seeing God's love and God's truth. I teach within a Christian construct but I am trained in both Hindu meditation and Sufi "visualization" practice. It seems to me these all work in harmony to the goal of knowing God in a richer fuller way.
Reply:When I play bass or guitar, I bring order to my mind.

Reply:music is the moving of energy from one thing or person to another. when a musician plays music he is giving of his energy as a gift to his audience. the reason certain people like certain music? one person connects to one energy more than another. each person is different in ther aura. nature gives energy as well. the water, trees, fire, wind... you already knew this. it is natures gift to us for us to enjoy and to love and use within ourselves. music, to me, goes far beyond instruments and sound... it playes on a spiritual level incomprehensible to any persons mind. i not only love the music i listen to and take part in (natures and Cd's) but i give back some of my energy thus creating a relationship with the energy i that is around me.
you knew all of this i am sure but i wished to tell you what you asked to know.

Reply:Music is magnificent, a language of its own! You can assimilate and convey emotions that words cannot. Like abstract art, but sound. the expression of your soul. its even therapeutic at times. a fret board is like a jigsaw puzzle and you have to put the pieces together. i believe in my afterlife the G note won't loop back into A, (still having different pitches of course) leaving endless possibilities... kind of like how 3-D images on a screen are still 2-D. so... in spirit, without these 3-D restrictions, INFINITE. a big part of my life =) and now that i think about it, it helps my faith that there is a God. thank u

Reply:i like music because it is a way to calm my nerves and bring inspiration to my work (both in writing and in drawing). it is the one art (out of writing, drawing and painting, acting and singing) that i haven't yet got a grasp on.
my music is very divers. in times of emotional stress, bliss and/or thought, music is my aid and help.
